David Harvey

Specialist Areas:

David deals exclusivley with property related work and is responsible for the management both at the Lincoln and Market Rasen Conveyancing Departments. His own workload encompasses a broad spectrum of property matters with a bias towards agricultural and development work. Examples of the transactions David has been involved upon include:

  • Acquisitions and sale of substantial agricultural estates (in 2006-2007 David dealt with land of a value in excess of £7million)
  • Advising and negotiating upon mineral rights, wind farms and large scale pipeline agreements
  • Advising and preparing agricultural tenancies for both landlord and tenant clients
  • Acting and advising upon residential development projects, dealing initially with the acquisition of the land often involving complex conditional contracts or option agreements and therafter implementing management schemes and dealing with the disposal of individual units
  • Sale and lease back of commercial premises.

Career History:

David graduated with an LLB (Hons) from Northumbria University 1999.  He commenced his training contract with Bridge McFarland in October 1999, qualifying in 2001. David has responsibilities at the Market Rasen office of the firm as well as in Louth. David became a partner on 1 May 2006. He is a member of the Agricultural Law Association, Legal Advisor to the Lincolnshire Deer Group and Governor of a local Prep School.

Personal:

David lives in the South of Lincoln and has a keen interest in rural pursuits.
